Once you enter the Kinvara Rock and Road Marathon, Half Marathon & 10K we can not offer you a refund due to injury or for any other reason. As race organisers we have to plan the event based on the number of entries, which affects order quantities for medals, T-shirts, toilets, race numbers, water, refreshments, fruit, timing chips, etc. (its a long list!).
However, we know its frustrating if you have a genuine reason for not being able to run so we can offer two options.
1. Defer your 2020 entry to 2021 before Tuesday 18th February 2020.
You can defer your entry to the 2021 event if you notify us by email no later than Tuesday 18th February 2020. We will be in touch in January 2021 to confirm your details for the 2020 race. If you can’t run in 2021 you will forfeit your place and entry fee. There is a charge of €7 for a deferral. To organise a deferral please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
2. Transfer your 2020 entry to a friend before Tuesday 18th February 2020.
If you can’t make it to the start line in 2020 you can transfer your entry to a friend if you notify us by email no later than Tuesday 18th February 2020. We will need to get details for the new entry so we can enter them in the system and cancel your entry. There is no charge for a number transfer. To organise a transfer email email@example.com.
We will need:
- your own name, date of birth and contact number
- for the new entry: name, sex, DOB, contact number, email address, county or country of residence, club, emergency contact name, emergency contact number (not someone entered in the event) and T-shirt size.
The deadline for deferrals and transfers is Tuesday 18th February 2020.
Deferrals are valid for one year only and entries can not be deferred twice.
